Tank Sprayer TipsWhy to choose a

Tank Sprayer rather than

Ready-to-Use Chemicals

Probably the most important reason is the impact on your wallet. Based on common usage rates, a person who always uses Ready-to-Use Chemicals will spend 38 times more money than the person that sprays using concentrates and a tank sprayer.

More savings can be realized by investing a quality tank sprayer and following the manufacturer's care instructions. Simply put, cleaning after each use is the best way to prolong the life of your sprayer.

Quality features to look for in a tank sprayer:Printer-friendly Version

  • Tough Polyethylene tank.
  • A reinforced hose that screws onto the tank for easy cleaning.
  • A two piece adjustable nozzle is best for easy cleaning.
  • Look for a nozzle that attaches to the shut off AND the end of the wand. This gives you more versatile options for spraying in tight spots.

One last tip: A tank size of 1, 2 or 3 gallon makes mixing easier. Most mixing instructions call for so much concentrate "per gallon." Using a 1.5 or 2.5 gallon tank may force you to search for your calculator!
